 Organic pigments are insoluble organic substances that are usually added to a substrate in a highly dispersed state to provide coloration. The fundamental difference between pigments and dyes is that dyes can dissolve in the medium used for dyeing, while pigments are neither soluble in the medium used nor in the substrate being colored. Therefore, pigments are typically used with dispersants and wetting agents, and are uniformly dispersed in water through mechanical stirring and grinding, resulting in a water-soluble liquid pigment slurry. Therefore, choosing the appropriate dispersant and wetting agent is crucial for the quality stability of the pigment slurry.

HY ChCHEMCIAL  Wetting Agent HY1020 is a non-ionic surfactant used in the preparation of water-based inks, digital inks, water-based coatings, and color pastes.

Performance indicators:

Appearance: light yellow clear liquid

Ingredients: amber ester block copolymer and complex

PH value: 7.0-8.0 (10% aqueous solution)

Effective ingredients: 90%

Specific gravity (25℃): 1.05-1.07

Viscosity (25℃): 500-800mPa.s

Ionicity: non-ionic

Features:

HY1020 wetting agent has excellent dispersing and wetting effects on various organic and inorganic pigments and dyes, making the gloss and colorfulness of the paint film fully demonstrated. It improves the colorfulness and stability of the system, helps to remove white fog, avoids floating color and flower, and prolongs the storage period and mechanical stability of the product.

Application:

The recommended amount of HY1020 wetting agent is 0.1-0.2% by weight of the finished paint, and it is recommended to add it before grinding and dispersing.
